Our PTO helps sponsor many great programs throughout the school year. Below is a list of the different committees and their chairpersons. To volunteer for a particular committee or to inquire about a vacant position, please contact any of the current Executive Board members.
All volunteering counts, so we appreciate any time that can be volunteered. This includes; classroom support, event committees, set up and more.
Help welcome our newest students to Park Elementary! This is a simple event each August that brings Kindergarten students and families together to play and mingle with each other. Planning is very simple, just pick a date and share the information with other families. Ideal for a Kindergarten parent or guardian who plans on attending.

Park Elementary Spirit Wear (t-shirts, sweatshirts, etc.) is sold at various times during the school year. Our current vendor, Underground Shirts, offers ship-to-home and ship-to-school options. We're always open to suggestions for desired items, please don't hesitate to ask! The time commitment to chair this committee is low- you communicate with the vendor, supply appropriate logos/artwork, determine order type/timing, & communicate with the school to notify families. This is not a fundraiser and pricing is not marked up.

Each October, we hold a fall event at Park school for Trunk or Treat. Chair plans and organizes event, volunteers are needed to help with set up and take down as well a other various tasks. This fun event is meant to bring the Park school community together!

Each Fall/Winter students create a picture in art class & art teachers send it in to Square One Art to be uploaded for family & friends to purchase items using that artwork. Order forms are distributed and you can buy anything from keychains to pillowcases with your child's creation featured. Chair helps organize and funds go back to the Art dept and PTO.

Park Elementary hosts a hot dog picnic each year. Families are invited to enjoy the picnic out on the lawn with their kids.
Food server volunteers over various shifts are always needed to help! Volunteers are needed for set-up, food distribution, and clean-up. Chair works with the head cook at Park to coordinate volunteers for both these events.

The Scholastic Book Fair is held in the Fall and Spring at Park School, typically during conferences. Chair will work with our Scholastic Rep to secure dates, and product. They will also organize volunteers to help with set up, clean up, and day-of tasks. May also help with coordinating the usage of Scholastic dollars throughout the year.

During Parent Teacher Conferences in Fall & Spring, the PTO organizes a lunch for the staff on one day and a dinner on the other. A form is sent out asking for food (or monetary) donations. Chair(s) coordinates menus, volunteers are needed for set-up and clean-up.

A week of celebrating the amazing individuals helping to mold our students' minds & make learning fun. PTO organizes food & gifts for the hard-working, deserving staff of Park Elementary.

Local businesses and restaurants have nights where we can sign up to have a portion of sales donated to Park Elementary. If you know of a business you'd like to coordinate with, please let a member of the PTO Board know and we will help you get started and market the event. We generally only send out news about these nights via eNews and on Facebook to save on paper. Chair(s) may want to communicate with the school to see if teachers or students are interested in volunteering time to serve food on the specified nights.

Park Cards are discount cards sold by the school. These discount cards include deals from local businesses, such as Piggly Wiggly, Crossroads Coffeehouse, Shoebox, and more that last all year long (October to October). Chair(s) are needed to contact and negotiate deals with local businesses, get cards printed, put together information for selling the cards, as well as collecting payments. Detailed instructions & timelines for the entire process provided.

Our most successful fundraiser! This event occurs during school hours for all grades. In different shifts (by grade level) kids will run laps outside to an extremely energetic DJ. Students are encouraged to ask family & friends to sponsor their laps; # laps run = $ for our school. Students also receive T-shirts & prizes for participation. Volunteers are needed for various sub-committees to help organize business sponsors, fundraising, day-of lap counting, refreshments, prizes, etc.

Every 4th grader is invited to participate in a district-wide track meet. This event occurs during school hours. Students are allowed to choose events & each school comes with their own school pride t-shirts. At Park there is typically a contest to design the graphics & our PTO purchases/distributes the shirts. Chair coordinates with the fourth grade team to create, order and distribute the shirt.

Chair works with teachers and the school supply company to collect supply lists and coordinate delivery and distribution of supplies. Current supplier = School Tool Box. This is not a fundraiser and kit pricing is not marked up.

Each year, a yearbook is offered to all students. Yearbook chair(s) help create the yearbook layout with user-friendly software and make sure all photos are where they need to be (individual students, teachers, classrooms, clubs, and candids). They coordinate with PTO treasurer to help create order forms & assist in payment collection; the school distributes the yearbooks.

On the last day of school, fun and games are organized by the PTO in the afternoon. Chair(s) plan event and coordinate volunteers. Volunteers are needed to run games and hand out water to our kiddos. Always a fantastic way to end the school year!
