1912 Born on 17 October in Forno d'Canale (Belluno Italy) later called Forno d'Agordo, son of Giovanni and Bortola Luciani.

1923 Albino entered the minor seminary at Feltre on October 1

1935 Ordained Priest in St Peters Church Belluno on 7 July

1935 Appointed curate in Forno di Canale on 8 July

1935-1937 Chaplain and teacher at Technical Institute for Miners in Agordo.

1937-1947 Appointed Vice Rector in Seminary at Belluno

1947 Appointed Pro Vicar General of the Diocese

1950 Received a Doctorate in Theology

1958 Consecrated Bishop of Vittorio Veneto on 27 December

1969 Patriarch of Venice on the 15 December

1973 He was made a Cardinal on 5 March

1978 Elected Pope on 26 August and uses the name Pope John Paul 1

1978 Pope John Paul 1 dies on 28 September after only 33 days in office

4 Sept 2022 Pope John Paul 1 is beatified by Pope Francis
