I am a computational systems biologist with experiences in high throughput data (Big data) generation, analysis, integration, and integrative modelling of biological systems. I am well versed with experimental technology platforms such as - microarray, next-generation sequencing (genome, exome, transcriptome, Chip-seq), proteomics, metabolomics, gene silencing using RNAi , yeast-two hybrid, genome editing using CRISPR/Cas9 etc.
I have worked with biological systems ranging from microbes, plants to clinical systems such as cancer. My diverse academic trainings, and interdisciplinary research experiences give me the flexibility to undertake challenging research projects related to any biological systems with an interdisciplinary approach. I have worked in several interdisciplinary laboratories in multiple EU countries (Norway, Denmark, Belgium, Germany) since 2009. My multicultural and multidisciplinary experiences give me the strength to sustain, adapt and evolve robustly against any kind of harsh situations in my surroundings.
On personal side, I am a friendly creature, nonstop fun loving, caring, self confident, self motivated, optimistic, hard worker, adventurous explorer, traveler and a logical thinker. I have a positive outlook, and generally believe that all fellow beings are good at heart. Therefore, I don’t come into conflict easily. Above all, I have a deep sense of feelings for the mankind, and hope that every task I opted for will bring maximum happiness to them.
My name is pronounced as [pŋkj bɹa / pông-kôz bôra] in my native language Assamese. You might also encounter two other written forms (transliteration) of my surname with two different single point (silent) mutations. One mutation is the replacement of the letter 'A' with 'O' (BARAH/BORAH) and other is a permanent deletion of the letter 'H' at the last position (BORA_). These mutations are of purely silent in nature, therefore they do not have any functional influence on the original meaning.
