You can get all kinds of free stuff online! Here are some places that "pay" you for shopping online, getting friends to sign up, doing web searches, etc. Many of these links are my "referral links" I may earn money if you sign up through these links and use the programs.
Updated with new grocery rebate apps: Earn money when you buy groceries and take a picture of the receipt. You may have to scan the barcode of the items for some of these programs.

How to keep track of all of these apps
Cashback for Grocery Receipts
Fetch Rewards (app) take pictures of receipts up to 14 days old. The app checks the receipt for participating brands and special offers. There are nearly 200 participating brands. Redeem points for gift cards (hundreds of choices)! Simple point system: each point is worth $0.10, redeem starting at 3000 points ($3). Get 1500 points when you use my referral X4EWK ($1.50) I downloaded the app on 7/17/17, was put on a waiting list for a few hours, then got an email saying I could sign up. When you sign up, it will ask for a referral code. Make sure you check your receipts after they review them and give points. They are not read very accurately, so you can edit them manually to get more points if the app missed it. 2021 Update: Get at least 25 points (2 and a half cents) for any receipt, including restaurants, gas stations, retail... Referrals are better now. Usually $2, but sometimes $4. You can link your email account to get credit for e-receipts when you shop online.
ibotta (app) My referral code: f4i7g earn cashback (rebates) for buying certain items at several stores, including Dillons, Walgreens, Walmart and many more. Earn team rewards (your team consists of Facebook friends, added to your team automatically if they join ibotta, and your referrals) Cash out to Paypal, or get gift cards for Amazon, Walmart, Starbucks, iTunes, and more. ($10 minimum) Need receipt and barcodes. Have to watch short video ads, answer a survey question, etc. to "unlock" each offer, but you can do that after you buy the items, just before you submit receipt. (2015 update-now easier to "unlock" items and you can tell the app to hide alcohol offers)
Ibotta now has the option to link your Dillons card and it will automatically give you the rebates after checkout if you saved the offers before checkout. It says an advantage is you will get more offers based on what you normally buy. I have chosen not to do this because I am afraid I will not have some of the offers saved before purchase and I will miss out on that money. 2020 Update: Some stores are loyalty card linked only. At Sprouts and Homeland, you will only get credit if you save the offer before shopping and checkout with your store loyalty card.
2021 update: Ibotta has really improved their bonus program. Redeem a certain number of offers during a specified period and earn a bonus. "Any item" offers now qualify for these bonuses too. You can stack bonuses, for instance get $10 when you redeem 16 offers this weekend and get $5 when you redeem 12 offers during a time period that includes that weekend. So you get $15 if you redeem 16 offers on the weekend, on top of the regular rebates for the offers. Ibotta also has an insiders club where you can get other special rebates. I recently redeemed 16 offers in one day, spending $46 out of pocket, and got $35 back from ibotta. I also used coupons and other apps, which brought my balance down to $5.
Coupons.com app (no referral system) "coupons" for items at Walmart. Buy the items, submit receipt in the app, get cashback straight to your Paypal. Many of the coupons are also available to print from their website, so if you are buying two of the same item, you can use a paper coupon for one and the app for the other. 2021 update: The app has some buy more, save more offers. For example, $5 back when you spend $25 on General Mills cereals. This is the type of offer Savingstar used to have.
Checkout 51 (app or online) Earn cashback for buying certain items at ANY store. Offers change each week (On Thursdays). They will mail a check when you get at least $20. Shopkick (app) Earn points for walking in to stores like JCPenney, Walmart, Old Navy, Target, Best Buy, and American Eagle. Redeem points for gift cards that are instantly added to your app or sent by email. Get more points when friends sign up. Get more points if you scan items in stores. Can also get points when you link certain credit cards. I linked my TJMaxx card and get extra points when I shop there!

Get points for scanning items in certain stores (Walmart is the main one). Get points when you buy certain items and submit your receipt (Walmart usually has about $100 of rebate offers).
Shopkick points to dollars conversion: Take your points times 0.004 to see how much money they are worth.

Receipt Hog (app) earn money when you take pictures of your receipts. No special purchases necessary, all grocery and retail receipts. Cash out to bank deposit or Amazon gift card. $5 minimum. Retail receipts earn spins on hogslot machine. You can submit gas station receipts for items other than gas. Gas and restaurant receipts earn sweepstake entries. Takes awhile to earn enough to cash out, but if you keep saving past the $5 minimum, you get a better deal for your points. Keeps a record of your receipts, with purchases listed. 2017 Update: Now cash out to Amazon and Paypal only. I'm not sure if they are taking new customers. I have heard some people got a notice that this program was closing, but I am still earning and cashing out! Update July 2018: I still have this app and enter every receipt. I am still earning cashback, so go ahead and try to join up! 2019 Update: You can no longer earn for referrals. More points for surveys. Make sure you put at least one receipt in each week to earn bonuses.
Coinout Earn for scanning any receipt, points are given randomly, not by receipt value or items purchased.
Swagbucks I've used the swagbucks website for many years. I used to get $5 a month for using their search bar to browse the internet. They have now added "magic receipts". You can upload your receipts to get rebates at some grocery stores. (Not Homeland). Lots of other ways to earn with the Swagbucks website/toolbar/app.
Shoparoo (app) earn money for your school. You cannot use Shoparoo and Receipt Hog together. Choose one or the other.
Box Tops for Education: Used to be labels that you cut out and send to school. Now it's an app (or website) where you upload your receipts. Your selected school wil get at least 10 cents for each item in their family of brands: General Mills , Pillsbury, Old El Paso, Green Giant, Hefty, Ziploc, Papermate, Totinos, Lysol, Yoplait, and more.
Proctor & Gamble: pggoodeveryday get points to spend on gift cards when you buy their brands and submit your receipt. 50 points for referrals. Points for doing surveys.
Earn Rewards Shopping or searching Online
Capital One Shopping browser extension/app (updated Dec 2023) You do not have to have a capital one account to use this. Earn cashback when shopping online. The more you shop, the more offers they send! I've used this to make Walgreens pickup orders. I earn 3% cashback from paying with my Visa card and up to 12% cashback with capital one. Plus, it tries coupon codes to see which will apply to your order. There's awesome referral and app download bonuses right now! Buy gift cards with your cashback earnings (currently no cashout option).
Paypal Rewards-go through Paypal website first to see any online shopping offers. Cashout to your Paypal account. You can also use the Paypal Honey extension to automatically find deals.
Dosh Cashback app. Link your debit or credit card and earn money when you shop online or at certain stores or restaurants. I get $5 (sometimes more) for referrals through my link. Refer businesses and earn commission. (Currently no offers in the Liberal area) Cannot link Discover cards. Update Oct. 2018: JCPenney in Liberal now has cashback offers. Add your JCPenney Mastercard, or any Mastercard, Visa, or debit card in the Dosh app. Get money in your Dosh account when add the card and when you use the card to pay at the store.
Update 1/1/2020: Offers have been changing frequently. I have earned at Wendy's, Maurice's, JCPenney, Pizza Hut, Sam's Club, Academy, Mattress Firm, Granny's Kitchen (Stillwater).
Discover card- earn at least 1% on all purchases, and up to 10% shopping online. Use your points to get gift cards worth more than your cashback amount, or get a statement credit or bank deposit. Make sure you pay the entire amount off each month (don't charge more than you can pay). Both of us earn $50 when you sign up through my referral and use the card. Update Oct 2018-they are ending the Discover Deals program (cashback for shopping online). You can still earn Discover rewards each month for using your card.
Topcashback Usually the best cashback offers for many stores. No minimum to cashout. Cashout to Paypal, other options, or Get a Payout bonus for cashing out for certain giftcards (Walmart, Amazon, and more). Drawback-your earnings will be pending for several weeks before you can cashout.

Swagbucks I get enough points every month to get a $5 card to Amazon--just by using their search bar. Earn more points from friends, shopping online, printing coupons, and lots more. You can also use the app on your phone.
Mypoints I have been a member here since 2000. It takes awhile to accumulate points, but I get points for reading emails, printing coupons, shopping online, and there are several other ways to earn points.
Rakuten (formerly Ebates) Get cashback for shopping online. They mail you a "Big fat check" every 3 months if you have accumulated at least $5.01.
I get $25 for each referral (when you make a qualifying purchase); you get $10!

Acorns this is an investment/retirement program but you can also earn by shopping online. It offers large referral bonuses when you get a certain number of people to sign up and make a $5 investment within certain time periods (example $225 for 3 referrals by 12/2/23).

Kelloggs Family Rewards-enter codes from cereal boxes and other Kelloggs products. Use your points to print coupons for Kelloggs products, get gift cards, and more. 2016 update-codes no longer in boxes, must upload receipts for points. Enter codes you receive in emails for bonus points.
Mycokerewards enter codes from lids and boxes of Coke products. Use points to get free stuff like coupons for free Coke products. Often have McDonalds coupons (free Quarter Pounder, etc). Sign up through e-mail referral (contact me). Closed program 2017. Now enter codes on coke.com for chance to win things. Sometimes they have a good offer like 1GB Verizon data when you enter one code. You can donate your codes submissions to schools and charities. (Updated July 2018)

Just scan receipt (no barcode needed) and your money is deposited to Paypal in minutes. Must save offer BEFORE buying it. Offers reset Monday morning 1am central. Save all the offers you want on Monday, then shop throughout the week and submit by Sunday night. Many of the offers have been coming back week after week, whether you save or redeem them or not. You can see your offers even when not connected to internet. You just have to connect to save and submit them. I use an old iphone with no service, save the offers on my wifi at home, take it to the store to see my list, go home and submit receipt on wifi.
