🌊 International Ocean Drilling Programme (IODP³)
From 24 November to 12 December 2025, Claudio Robustelli Test, member of the ALP-CIMaN Laboratory, took part in the international scientific expedition IODP³ Expedition 503, “Hadal Trench Tsunamigenic Slip History - Buried in Trench”, off the coast of Japan, aboard the scientific drilling vessel D/V Chikyu.
The oceanographic campaign focused on one of the most geologically active regions on the planet: the Japan Trench.

We were excited to welcome the students from Liceo Gobetti (Torino) to our CIMaN-ALP laboratory on March 24th and 26th, 2025, as part of the CRT project “La scienza è dei cittadini”!
During their visit, the students carried out real measurements, explored the fascinating world of paleomagnetism through seminars, and had fun with interactive activities on magnetic materials and Earth’s magnetism. 🧲🌍
Thank you for your curiosity and enthusiasm, it was a fantastic experience for all of us!
