Problem Based Learning Track

Jane Ostrander, De Anza College, is Principal Investigator and Project Director for the National Science Foundation funded project “Destination: Scenario-Based Learning”. She has expertise in instructional design directly related to the learning model, as well as online teaching and learning, and has taught Web site development and computer literacy at Cabrillo College, Mission College, De Anza College, and San Jose State Extension. She is currently a Ph.D. student in Oregon State University's Community College Leadership program. Jane is the Subject Matter Expert for the Problem-Based Learning track.

Leanne Chun, Leeward Community College, is the Educational Media Center Coordinator. She studied Engineering at University of Colorado, Boulder and Educational Technology at University of Hawaii, Manoa. She has been working to enhance education with the use of technology for over ten years. She has taught face-to-face and online, and integrated Scenario-Based Learning into her Information and Computer Science (ICS 101 online) course 2 years ago. Leanne will be co-leading the Project-Based Learning track.

Lani Uyeno, Leeward Community College, is an English instructor. She has both bachelors and masters degrees in English Education from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She teaches writing and reading teaching developmental and college-level reading and writing courses for 30+ years. Her English 211 course, Autobiographical Writing, is a Scenario-Based Learning course in which students are interns at an online company that provides support to memoir writers. Lani will be co-leading the Project-Based Learning track.

iCourse Design Track

Greg Walker, Leeward Community College is the Distance Education Coordinator/ Educational Technology Developer. He has expertise in instructional design with a specialty in making online teaching and learning interactive. He holds his Ph.D. from Capella University in Education. He has taught online for over 7 years. Greg will be leading the iCourse Design track.

Elluminate Live! Moderator Track

Rachael Inake, Leeward Community College, an Educational Technology Developer. She has expertise in instructional design. She studied Educational Technology at the University of Hawaii, Manoa. Rachael will be leading the Elluminate Live! Moderator Track.
