Scouts may wear his Class B uniform for this event.
Meet at Fire Station #4, located at 850 Paseo Ranchero in the Rancho del Rey neighborhood just north of East H Street.
This activity will satisfy part of the Webelos Readyman activity badge and Tiger Requirement 2g.
Features at this year’s event include live fire department demonstrations, fire equipment displays, and fire prevention exhibits.
“We invite members of our community to join us for this annual open house,” said Fire Marshal Justin Gipson. “In addition, we will give residents a first-hand look at some of our firefighting techniques and offer valuable fire prevention information.”
Firefighters, fire prevention personnel, and Fire Explorers will be participating in this special event. In addition, the event will include free blood pressure checks by A.M.R Ambulance Service and information booths from the Burn Institute, San Diego County Haz-Mat Unit, Citizens Emergency Response Team (CERT), and the Citizens Adversity Support Team (CAST), as well as free rides on the “Little Fire Truck.” Highlights for children will be the fire safety program in a specially designed “house”, and puppet shows demonstrating fire prevention and safety.
Chula Vista’s annual open house is scheduled during National Fire Prevention Week. This year’s campaign is entitled “Working Smoke Alarms Save Lives, Test Yours Every Month.”
