October Events!

This year our Pack will be family camping at Camp Sunrise after the Haunted Harvest Fest. Haunted Harvest is a wonderful day at the Cub Scout Camp walking through the woods and doing fun activities for the whole family. Archery, BB guns, crafts and more! Lunch is included! Haunted Harvest registration before Oct 9th is $10/person ($5 for 2-5yr old siblings) with a family maximum of $35. After Oct 9th the prices go up $5/person. Each person is also asked to bring a can of soup (no creamed soups) to help make the "hobo soup" which is part of lunch. For more details on the Haunted Harvest Festival, see the Council website here.

After the Haunted Harvest Festival ends, we'll finish setting up our camp for the night. We'll make dinner and have fun at the campfire before bedtime. In Cub Scout family camping each family sleeps in their own tent. Our pack has access to plenty of camping gear (tents, mats, sleeping bags, etc.), so if you need to borrow something, please let your den leader know so we can get it. More details will be shared soon.

We're also in the middle of our annual Popcorn sale! This is an important fundraiser for our pack. 73% of the sales total stays here in Vermont to support Scouting and is shared between our Pack and the Green Mountain Council. For more information on the sale details, go to the Popcorn Sale page in the Pack Links to the left. The sale runs from now until Oct 25th.

We also have the Pow Wow which is the annual Cub Scout Leader training on October 17th in White River Junction, VT. This is wonderful opportunity to learn more about the Cub Scout program and is open to both leaders and interested parents. Before Oct 9th, the registration fee is $20 and will go up by $5 after Oct 9th.
