Thanks for your interest in joining Pack 30! We hold our main recruiting meeting in September, but new Scouts are welcome to join at any time. Email info@pack30.com if you would like to try out an activity before joining.
New Scouts joining Pack 30 pay annual membership fees that renew on the anniversary date of joining.
***PLEASE NOTE:*** Cubs registration is shifting to an annual membership renewable on the anniversary of joining. We expect the new fee structure to be similar to the 12-month 2023 calendar year structure. Please watch this space, or reach out to info@pack30.com for further details.
Costs to join for New Members for one calendar year:
$80 Boy Scouts of America membership fee
$25 Boy Scouts of America one-time joining fee
$48 Spirit of Adventure Council fee / New England Adventure Card
$47 Pack fee (campouts, Pinewood Derby, etc.)
$15 Scout Life magazine (optional)
$10 Pack t-shirt (one-time purchase)

$225 Total cost to join (or $210 without Scout Life)
To join, fill out an online application form at https://my.bsa.us/227pab0030mb. You will pay BSA directly via credit card for all but the Pack fee and t-shirt ($57). Please submit this amount to the Pack, either by Paypal (http://www.paypal.me/Pack30/), Venmo (https://venmo.com/u/Pack30), or check (made out to "Cub Scout Pack 30").
Costs to renew from January--December 2024 (12 months):
$80 Boy Scouts of America membership fee
$48 Spirit of Adventure Council fee / New England Adventure Card
$47 Pack fee (campouts, Pinewood Derby, etc.)

To renew, please submit the entire payment to the Pack, either by Paypal (http://www.paypal.me/Pack30/), Venmo (https://venmo.com/u/Pack30), or check (made out to "Cub Scout Pack 30").
In addition to the above fees, families purchase a uniform for their Cub Scout (from a local Scout Shop, or online at http://www.scoutstuff.org) and a book for each Den they participate in (Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos), which contains the activities and requirements for advancement for Scouts of each grade level. The BSA has a helpful guide for patch placement.
Financial Assistance: If you are considering joining or renewing in Pack 30 but find these costs to be tough for your budget, please contact us at info@pack30.com. Some financial assistance is available, as are used uniforms and books. No one should miss out on Scouting because of the cost!
