We could use a couple parents to volunteer to chair our bike safety rodeo on May 23rd. I'd also like to find a different location this year as the St Mark parking lot is too small.
As we plan the summer program, if there are parents that would like to lead and organize an activity, please let me know.
Meat Sticks:
To offset the costs of your Scouting program, we are selling meat sticks. I'll bring four cases to our meeting. You can pick up bags of 24 meat sticks. At pick up, you will pay the cost of the bag which is $23. Then you can sell the meat sticks at $1.50 each (2 for $3). You then keep the profit ($13 per bag) for your Scout's expenses. For this sale, we'll only be able to take cash pre-payments. If you need a larger quantity, please let me know at least one week ahead of time so I can get them ordered.

Greetings Scout Families,
Sep 14th at 6:30 at St Mark: Back to the Pack meeting - den leaders will have fun activities for our veteran Scouts and any new friends.
Sep 16th is the Kids and Kites free event hosted by Niagara County Youth Bureau 11-2 at Veterans Park 7000 Lockport Rd. Niagara Falls. We will be able to set up a recruiting/activity table however I am unable to attend. I would love to get a couple of adults and Scouts in uniform to attend and tend the table. Please let me know if you can make this happen.
Sep 21st 6:30 Blast off with Scouting at St Mark. Our annual open house event with rockets for all the kids. Flyers are going out in schools to promote this.
Sep 22-24 Webelos Woods at Camp Sam Wood - 4th and 5th graders only.
Sep 28th: 6:30 at St Mark Den Meetings - making neckerchief slides
Looking ahead to community tours each month, Monster Mayhem campout, haunted hayride, Scouting for food, Winter cabin campout, lock-in, first responder visits, bike rodeo, fishing tournament, maple syrup weekend and much more fun with a purpose.
This year, we will not be doing "show and sell" popcorn in front of stores however we will be doing take-order forms. We have also increased the percentage a Scout earns for their Scout account.
We should plan a fundraising event like a pancake breakfast for the Pack to make up the loss from show and sell popcorn and keep our dues amongst the lowest in WNY. With one good event, we should raise enough to keep the pack going. However, we need a couple of volunteers to lead this event. Please let me know if you would like to help out. Please note that raffles are against Scout fundraising policy.
We are in need of the following adult volunteers: Parent committee chairperson/ treasurer / fundraising (popcorn) chair / Lion and Tiger Den Leader / Assistant Cubmaster
We have a new advancement program that will provide immediate wearable recognition for the Scouts.
This year, Scouts will experience leadership as we have a rotational "Denner" for each den. The "Denner" will be the Den Leader's assistant and serve a 1 month term.
If you know of any open houses or community event where we should have a presence, let me know.
If you no longer wish to receive emails or be part of our Pack, I can remove you from our mailing list if you inform me.
Yours in Scouting,
Dan Human Cubmaster Pack 193
