{OxleySC committee} Golf buggy charge power

Hi all,

This morning Heat On Electrical installed a power point under the clubhouse for golf buggy charging.

A couple of screws or equivalent will attach it to the rafters in such a way that the charging indicators are visible, thereby getting it off Tony's boat cover.

It has been patched into the 'Front right' circuit which supplies the power point near the downstream verandah door. Next time I'm there with a marker pen I'll annotate.

I'm getting better at finding the infernal Run/Tow switch under the seat.

And although a couple of web sites say Tow is only needed for long term storage or actual towing, a Yamaha manual for what looks like the same buggy says

- Ensure Drive Select is in FWD and then move to Tow before towing; wait 15 sec minimum before switching again.

- Always put the tow switch in the TOW position before charging battery or damage to the electrical system may result.

- It does *not* mention switching to Tow for storage.

I also see:

- Do not hold on an incline with the accelerator - use the brake.
