January Annual Dinner at the Cotswold Lodge Hotel, with guest speaker
Dr William McVicker, Curator of the Royal Festival Hall organ
January Oxford Music Festival organ classes: Merton College Chapel
February Visit: Keble College Chapel, Oxford to play the Kenneth Tickell organ which
was re-voiced by Fratelli Ruffatti.
March Workshop: Workshop on music suitable for Italian organs, led by
Hans Davidsson, Professor of Music at the Royal Danish Academy of Music
April European Organ tour to Treviso and Venice. Treviso is one of the nine European
Cities of Historic Organs (ECHO) and contains many interesting instruments
May Visit: Magdalen College Chapel, Oxford to play the Mander organ.
June Recital: Andrew Chamblin Memorial Recital at Christ Church
June Visit: St Mary’s Church, Streatley to play the 2-manual and pedal organ built by
Robin Jennings.
July Visit: St Peter’s Church, Wolvercote, to play the new two-manual, 17-stop,
Robin Jennings organ.
July IAO Music Festival in Oxford
July Workshop: Aspiring Organists: a workshop for adults, led by Malcolm Pearce.
September Visit: St Mary’s Church, Kidlington. A 2-manual organ built by a group of volunteers
under the direction of Richard Vendome, with professional assistance from
Grant, Degens & Bradbeer
September Visit: St Michael’s, Bray, with Dr Relf Clark, who will talk about the church,
the churchyard, and the organ.
October Visit: Culham Court Chapel, Berkshire (near Henley). This newly-built
private Catholic chapel contains a 9-stop, single-manual organ by Manders,
built in 2016.
