Byfield, England and Russell built a new organ in the west gallery of St Helen’s Church in 1780, incorporating the fine case by Abraham Jordan dating from 1726. As with most organ there have been 'improvements' over the years. However in 2005 there was a  comprehensive restoration, with reinstatement of the original 1927 specification and voicing by Harrison & Harrison.

We will meet at the church at 7.00 when Dr Peter Foster, the Director of Music, will introduce the organ. The location of the church and parking is shown on this map.

Details of this fine three-manual organ can be found here on NPOR and on the Harrison web site.
