Our Pastor

Rev. Louis Lussier, a.k.a. Fr. Lou,  is an ordained priest of the Order of St. Camillus.  The Camillian Order  is comprised of Roman Catholic priests and brothers who have served for more than 400 years  in the health care field. The Camillians brought their ministry to the United States in the early 1920s, with their United States headquarters located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Fr. Lou, a fluent speaker of English, French, and Spanish, had a vision of bringing better healthcare to those in need in the southeast, including the many migrant workers.  He presented his proposal to the diocesan bishop in 2005, then Bishop Kevin Boland. Bishop Boland was very receptive to Fr. Lou's ideas, and assigned him to our parish and its sister parish in Millen.
