Studio-Labs are practicums that introduce the OTOA Performance Technique & Training (PTT)™ through the exploration and experimentation of your own project or material at any stage of development.
Participants are given an opportunity to work within a small studio group of no more than 3 people, or 3 teams, with OTOA Founder, Master Teacher, and Stage Director, Gia Forakis, as she offers a hands-on investigation of your project within a safe and shared learning environment.
Participants include: performing artists, stage & film directors, collaborators, theater makers & public speakers.
PLEASE NOTE
Studio-Labs are not being offered at this time
However, if you are interested in a Studio-Lab Session we recommend you consider a Custom Designed OTOA Workshop
Our goal is to create a unique experimental and educational forum for valuable inquiry outside of the constrictions and limitations of most production and/or rehearsal schedules, while at the same time offering an introduction to how the OTOA PTT technique can be applied in the rehearsal and development process.
Participants propose the material that they are excited and eager to investigate or develop.
Material should be between 3 -7 minutes in length. Material may include, but is not limited to: new scripts, monologues, projects in development, 2 - 3 person scenes, audition material, solo work, performance, songs, screen plays, etc.
Contact us if you have a questions about your material.
OTOA Studio-Labs benefit the craft of the artist, the development of the material, and the advancement of creative inquiry.
Studio-Labs present participants with a deeper understanding of OTOA Performance Technique & Training (PTT) technique through application and observation within a supportive lab atmosphere, and an expanded realm of creativity and camaraderie.
To support individualized OTOA-based guidance and instruction Studio-Lab Sessions are restricted to 3 people or 3 collaborative teams.
Collaborative teams are restricted to 3 people and are counted as one project.*
However, if your project has 4 people, we may make an exception, pending the number of other teams that are registered for the lab on the same day
Both solo artists and creative teams may apply.
To determine which is right for you, consider what is best for your proposed material.
Contact us if you have a questions about what is best for your project.
If you have something you would like to work on, but you're not sure if it fits into this forum, feel free to contact us to discuss possibilities.
