Platforms will normally be built using ¾” plywood. The plywood needs to be supported fully along any edge and at least every 2’ in the long direction. Depending on the platform dimensions this spacing could be as small as 16”. Platforms can be built up to 32” high using the glue-and-staple process described here. Normally we will build platforms in height increments of 8” (8”, 16”, 24” 32”) and outside dimensions in increments of 1’. Taller platforms can be created by stacking or they should utilize 2x4 framing.
