Joseph recently participated in the CELL Crime Prevention and Safety online merit badge workshop . Above are his 'posters' for requirement #6 Safety AND requirement # 6 Crime Prevention The Counterterrorism Education Learning Lab (CELL) partners with the Boy Scouts of America as an innovative resource for scouts through engaging clinics. Requirement #7b of the Crime Prevention merit badge also has the scout either visit a jail or detention facility or a criminal court hearing. Currently, the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court is streaming online Daily Dockets HERE. Joseph completed this on the first day of spring break.

As part of the Fire Safety merit badge, Scouts are required to 'visit' a fire station. During COVID this became impossible. Recently, Albuquerque Fire Department released virtual fire station visits.

Requirement number 11 states: Visit a fire station. Identify the types of fire trucks. Find out about the fire prevention activities in your community.
