Q - Will projects be presented at the Science Fair?
A - Students will present their work to parent mentors during the school day on Monday Feb 10 and Tuesday Feb 11. This will give our student scientists an opportunity to field some questions and get some feedback as well. There will be no formal presentations during Family Night, but students are encouraged to stand by their display board and present their work to visitors!
Q - How can parents get involved in the Science Fair?
A - We love parent volunteers! There are several ways to get involved. Sign up here! No science background necessary!
Workshopping Science Fair Ideas: During lunch time a few days in January, parent volunteers can help students workshop their science fair projects by helping them formulate a scientific question and/or experimental plan, and interpretation of results.
Mentoring: During lunch/snack/recess time on Feb 10 and Feb 11, student/teams will present their completed work to a parent volunteer.
Family Night: Parent volunteers will help with distribution and collection of lab coats, set-up and clean-up, and pizza sales.
