Daily Free Homeschooling tools

Once again we sit across the table in the "teachers room". I want you to imagine for a few minutes that we are having a consult here in my office. Forget about grammar there are no kids here were allowed to be less than perfect. ALL our units are put together with this in mind as well.

Lets face it the economy is not getting better for anyone. We need to focus more now than ever on getting our children the education they need to function in the world as it is and be flexible for the changes we face in the near future.

When I find something new and cool I add it to my Facebook account until I figure out what category it goes in. For up to the minute Freebies add Dorinda Oakes you'll see a picture of me at Andrew's Wedding and My Husband is Linwood look for those things and you should be set. Please email me for instructions to turn off the games applications if you don't want them. I use them to keep in contact with friends from the past. you only have to block a game once and you will not see things from it again.

Some Freebies are only available Monday through Friday. Here is a list of the ones I check, often I add them to facebook with the new stuff.

Homeschool Freebie of the Day -- Gives away a free book every day. Most often the books come from Gutenberg, Archive, or Google books but this wonderful service gleans the better ones and saves you time searching. Back these up because normally they are only free for a short time. Keep in mind he works very hard to bring us these selections, Please do not share copies that come from his site. Either refer friends to his site or hunt down a shareable copy find it at one of the other three sites.

For Preschoolers I like Learning sheets they change the free printable every week day for their Weekly Themes and have an accompanying daily Art Activity that matches. Both pages have an email daily newsletter that emails you the lessons If you (like me ) chronically forget to download the pages. Set up a specific gmail account to save the materials for you. The site also has supplemental materials for the unit and a weekly file folder game that I always download on Friday.

For K-8 Students Enchanted Learning is a nice place to check daily. They have a Whats new page that allows you find quickly the newest materials. They have some pages that are "member only" pages of versions. They are worth the yearly fee for our family but you may find the free versions are perfect!

Giveaway of the Day-- is not always homeschool tools but very often what they offer can be used as a great tool!

Game House has a free game everyday that can be used as a supplement to certain units or as a reward for work well done. I also have used these critical thinking and Time management games to keep a child's mind working while I am working one on one with another child. you must log in but log in is free (advertiser supported)

Weekly I check specific sites for new content.

Kizclub has many printables for Pre-schoolers through about 3rd grade.and is always adding new stuff.

ABC Teach has new learning sheets every so often too. not every day but sometimes twice a week. If your doing a theme or lapbook it is a good place to search
