HHMI has a different lecture each December. Topics range from Biological Clocks, Genetics Obesity and infectious disease. We used these for High school. They do have materials that I personally wouldn't use but the majority of it is good stuff! Go to their catalog to get Lab safety DVDs and other materials FREE.

Glencoe Study Guide

NIH has some great Curriculum Supplements that we used as unit studies. They have grade K-12 but we just used the one that fit our topic and tailored it to meet out specific needs.

Astronomy

Sky maps has a free monthly map of the sky

Kids astronomy has information and Games

Cosmo 4 Kids is information about Space

Learning page requires a FREE registration but has fact files, and a Mural you will find helpful in teaching this project. You will find Space in the Themes section. They have a unit that covers all subjects.

NASA is a good place to learn about astronomy. Their News articles are downloadable with your Itunes through the podcasts at the Itunes store or you can download them.

Zanthura could add some imagination to the unit. although some parents may find it objectionable.

Enchanted Learning Astronomy Page has worksheets activities information and more although some materials require a membership.

Copy Work from Can Teach will improve penmanship in all ages. One software I used to make copy work sheets with is Start write. It is not free but you buy it once and use it the rest of your life. it makes awesome note sheets for any public talk you attend!
