My name is Jason Fernando, and I am a Sub-Intern visiting from the University of Illinois Chicago College of Medicine. My interests within emergency medicine include critical care and street medicine. Outside of medicine, I enjoy film photography, cooking, reading, and climbing. 

My name is Mikayla! I am a Sub-I visiting from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC.

Some of my interests in Emergency Medicine include global and carceral health. I am also very interested in research focused on cardiovascular health disparities.

Outside of the hospital, I love playing the violin, practicing yoga, listening to techno music, and learning languages! I’m very excited to meet everyone and learn from the team during my rotation.

My name is Laury Arazi, and I am a Sub-Intern visiting from NYITCOM. Professionally, I am interested in academic emergency medicine, particularly medical education, mentorship, and point-of-care ultrasound. Outside of medicine, I enjoy cooking, Pilates, and spending time with family and friends. I am excited to learn from the residents and faculty, contribute to the team, and further explore these interests during my rotation.

My name is Myles Reed, and I am a sub-I from Weill Cornell Medical College, originally from Cleveland, OH. I recently applied into urology for residency. In emergency medicine, I am interested in ultrasound and critical care in particular but would also like to learn to better interpret EKGs. In this rotation, I hope to additionally learn how to assess traumas and myocardial infarctions. Through my roles in medical school administration at Cornell, I would be interested to see how administration of an ED is properly conducted. Other interests include running, lifting, and house music. Looking forward to the month! 

My name is Liam Sasser, and I am a sub-intern from Weill Cornell Medical College applying into anesthesiology this match cycle. Clinically, I am particularly interested in ultrasound-guided care. Outside of medicine, I enjoy long-distance running and baking. I look forward to working with everyone in the department during this rotation and to further developing my ability to evaluate and manage patients in acute care settings.

My name is Steven Wren, and I am a Sub-Intern from Weill Cornell . I grew up in Staten Island, NY, and am applying into OB/GYN, with particular interests in reproductive endocrinology and infertility, ultrasound, and medical education. Outside of medicine, I enjoy long-distance running and exploring New York City. I am excited to spend the month working with and learning from everyone in the department!
