November Sub-Interns
November Sub-Interns
I am Daniel Ortega, a current MS4 at Columbia VP&S. I very recently applied into Orthopaedics! Currently, I am loving the idea of doing a potential dual fellowship in joint reconstruction & tumor. Outside of medicine, I am a massive fan of cars, colognes, watches, and video games."
My name is Simon and I am a Sub-Intern from the Columbia Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. I have applied into Orthopedic Surgery. Within emergency medicine, I am interested in developing my ultrasound skills. Outside of medicine I love to read (mostly fantasy) bake (the more complicated the recipe the better), and spend time with my dog.
My name is Paula Trinh, and I am a Sub-Intern from Weill Cornell Medical College applying into orthopaedic surgery this cycle, with interests in sports medicine, particularly ACL injury, tendon healing, and regenerative medicine. In the ED, I’m especially excited to sharpen my approach to trauma and musculoskeletal emergencies, from fracture and dislocation management to reductions and splinting, while building a strong foundation in evaluating undifferentiated patients. Outside of medicine, I love Pilates, pickleball, exploring NYC’s food scene, and karaoke, and I’m a proud mom to two maltipoos, Pinot and Nugget. Looking forward to working with and learning from everyone this month!
