10/1 - 10/2/2025 – 2st workshop on understanding factors driving violence against women and the impact of policies aimed at reducing such violence in Barcelona, Spain.
06/9-06/10.2025 – Núria Rodríguez-Planas (PI) will participate in the Workshop on policy options for reducing IPV and sexual assault, co-sponsored by UN Women, the World Bank, and the Prevention Collaborative. The event will take place in Washington DC. Organizers include Rachael Pierotti from World Bank Africa Gender Innovation Lab, and Lori Heise and Ruti Levtov from the Prevention Collaborative.
05/29-05/30 /2025 – Núria Rodríguez-Planas (PI) will attend the Workshop on the Economics of Crime for Junior Scholars (WEC Junior), funded by Arnold Ventures. The seminar will take place at the University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia. Núria will discuss the paper “As time goes by’ The effectiveness of protection orders in reducing intimate partner violence recidivism” by Marti Rovira (Universitat Pompeu Fabra).
05/16/2025 – Núria Rodríguez-Planas (PI) co-organizes with the OECD the 1st workshop on What Works to Stop Violence Against Women? Causal Evidence, Real World Impact at OECD Paris headquarters. Funded by @ERC Advanced Grant, WomEmpower.
02/28/2025 – NYU and UCLA will host an all-day symposium titled “The Earned Income Tax Credit at Fifty” at NYU School of Law. Núria Rodríguez-Planas (PI) will be a member of the Panel on the "Short- and Long-Term Effects of the EITC" with Hilary Hoynes (Berkeley), Henrik Kleven (Princeton), Anne Alstott (Yale Law School), and Dylan Matthews (Vox), and Jennifer Roff (CUNY, Queens College and The Graduate Center). The symposium will include a keynote speech by Bob Greenstein, the founder and President Emeritus of the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.
11/18/2024 – Núria Rodríguez-Planas (PI) attended the Consejo Asesor de Brecha de Género at the Ministerio de Inclusión, Seguridad Social y Migraciones as a member of the committee. We brainstormed on better ways to serve victims and minimize victimization and gender gaps. Link to the news report, here.
11/13/2024 - 11/15/2024 - Núria Rodríguez-Planas (PI) visited the International Labor Organization as a member of the Research Review Group. She provided feedback on World Employment and Social Outlook report, Lifelong Learning Skills Flagship Report, and State of Social Justice Report.
7/01/2024 – The Consejo Asesor de Brecha de Género at the Ministerio de Inclusión, Seguridad Social y Migraciones was created today and had its first meeting. Núria Rodríguez-Planas (PI) was nominated as one of its members. She will assist the Spanish Government in building policies that reduce gender gaps in Spain.
