Alas, the Thomas Saf-T-Liner C2. Our school had some when we contracted with DEE, but those days are gone. Here are some random pictures of what are, in my opinion, the better bus (well, they at least look cooler).
This is an example of a Saf-T-Liner C2 owned by our previous contractor, DEE BUS SERVICE INC. When we were with them, the fleet was more interesting, however, it was when I was in K-3 grade, so I don't remember much. I do remember it being an interesting mix of FS65s and Saf-T-Liner C2s, from all different model years and with different features. My bus (still bus 2 back then) was an older saf-t-liner than this (with the shorter passenger side rear-view-mirror), and we didn't have the "2nd generation" of C2s until our last year with DEE (when a bunch of the older FS65s left for brand new C2s. That same year was the only year that DEE put "NASHOBA REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT" on the side of the buses. It's unknown which of DEE's buses served for our district, and I'm not sure what DEE did with them, (they probably still have them somewhere, maybe being used for a different school.)
This picture is just proof that, YES, First Student does own some C2s. Our district has not used C2s at all, this was from a visiting sports team.
