Welcome, this is a page going into detail about the Nashoba Regional School District School Bus fleet in general. All of the buses were purchased at the same time, when First Student Inc. won the contract from the previous provider, DEE Bus Service Inc. All of the buses are 2009 (I think) IC CEs, with the following specs.
Engine: Maxxforce 7
Brakes: Hydraulic
Door: Electric
Seats: 17 rows (77 passenger)
Grey seats, black floor. Three color coded lap belts per seat.
Crossing Gates
Single Electric Stop sign w/ Incandescent lights (non strobe)
Warning Lights: Incandescent (non strobe)
Lights: Incandescent
No strobe light on roof.
Sideways opening Emergency Exit windows (two per side)
Two roof hatches
Rear emergency door (with small back seat)
Emergency Exits: four window exits, two roof hatches
NO A/C
No Tinted Windows
Yellow/Silver Window Frames
Power and Heated Mirrors
Steering wheel door and warning controls
The entire fleet got didn't get Zonar installed until a couple of years into their life. However, they all came with child-check mate installed. All of the fleet has stickers that say NASHOBA REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT on the side, although they aren't in the bolder font First Student generally uses for district names. The entire fleet (excluding spare buses) have stickers that say the route number on all four sides: by the entry door, under the drivers window, on the front bumper, and above the rear bumper. The fleet numbering starts at 101895 with bus 1, and increases by 1 (i.e. bus 2 is 101896, bus 3 is 101897 etc.) up through bus 14 (101908) Bus 15 was renumbered 102009, with what was bus 16 (converted to a spare bus) being 102010. Bus 17 then starts at 101934, and goes through bus 29 (101946). The 3 other spare buses are 101948, 101949, and 101950, with 101947 taking over bus 16 after 101910/102010 got converted. I believe the 10 at the start of the fleet number corresponds to First Student's practice of using the bus's model year in the fleet number (buses were built in 2009, could possibly be a 2010 model year however).
According to the help of Google and Google maps/street view, I think I've identified that the bus yard is in Lancaster. Not only that, it appears that the property was acquired from DEE Bus Service Inc., because the street view from 2007 shows a bunch of C2s and FS65s. However the satellite from 2013 shows a bunch of CEs.
As of the 2015-2016 school year, "Nashoba Base" in Lancaster has also become the base for Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School.
