Our photographers have recorded our walk from the Low Lights and River uphill to Tynemouth village where we followed a route showing the blue plaques in Tynemouth and North Shields.

Our photographers have recorded our circular walk Plessey to Stannington Bridge circular including our views of the massive Victorian viaduct still in use as part of the East Coast mainline

Our photographer Bob has recorded our guided walk underground exploring the lower section of the Victoria Tunnel
Sunday 6th October
Our photographer Dave was back to record our walk on thw Derwent Way across the viaduct to Linz Green station, site of the 1911 unsolved murder of the Station Master. Linzford is where the old mill was located and a talk from one of the residents, then followed the Red Kite trail with several viewings. As you can see, there were some strange sights as well!

Dave Turpin's photographs of our walk from Alnmouth to Amble, with weather about 16 degrees for a change. Coffee on the beach and lunch stop in a very busy Warkworth down by the riverside before the last leg into Amble. All in all a very nice day.

Photos Dave Turpin recorded these images on our walk from Embleton to Craster via Dunstanburgh Castle and back. Beautiful weather. Lovely views, lots of mud from the recent rain. Lunch at Craster (don’t mention the toilets!!) Most of us ended up in the Golf Club for coffee afterwards, so a lovely day out!

Sunday 3rd September - photos by Bob Preston of our walk at Harbottle and the Drake Stone, The Drake Stone is huge boulder alleged to have special healing powers. It was originally called the Dragon stone or Draak’s stone, and was reputed to have been used by druids. The massive sandstone boulder was placed here by a glacier during the last Ice Age.

A party of our members enjoying a circular walk, from Cresswell towards Linton and returning along an old railway track into Ellington then towards the beach and back to Cresswell for an excellent demonstration of fire power at the Cresswell Tower.

35th Anniversary

On our first day we walked along the canal to Gargrave then bus back to Skipton and walk back to the Hotel
Second day a circular walk up into the hills above the Hotel and back. Lots of stone walls to climb over!
On third and final day was quite exhausting! We went to Bolton Abbey for a walk up to Simon’s Seat and there was snow on the top
