Historical context:

NKEA had a successful bargain for 2016-19 because we stood strong together on the issue of fair compensation. Thank you!!

NKEA members ratified a contract for only one year in accordance with the following motion:

To honor and secure the gains of this last bargain, I move to ratify this tentative agreement which is a one year agreement with the understanding that NKEA will begin an aggressive campaign to educate our members, parents, community, Board members, and Superintendent Patty Page that we are not receiving fair compensation commensurate with neighboring districts and other districts in or state of similar size, in preparation of possible action beginning at the start of next school year if fair compensation targets are not achieved in the next contract.
