What We Believe

The mission of the North Kingstown United Methodist Church, a community of God’s people, is to use our time, our talents and treasure to grow disciples for Jesus Christ by educating, nurturing, and supporting one another in our town and beyond by the practice of Christian hospitality and sharing of God’s loving word.

In the United Methodist Church we celebrate two sacraments, each a response and visible sign of God’s invisible and always available love. Communion is celebrated every Sunday of each month; we believe that everyone who either loves the Lord or desires to know Jesus Christ is invited to participate at Christ’s Table and receive God’s grace. It is a love we cannot earn and is offered by God’s mercy alone! The sacrament of Baptism is offered to those desiring to be baptized in the family of God after a time of instruction with the pastor. We offer infant, youth, and adult baptism.

We welcome and celebrate the gifts God has given to all without regard to gender, race, sexual orientation, economic or family status, ethnicity, or mental or physical ability. We believe God loves everyone unconditionally!
