For Week of 24 August
Our church office hours are changing! Beginning in September, the church office will be open: Wednesday 9:30-1:30; Thursday 11-3; and Friday 11-3.
The Pastor’s Study began a new book this week: The Holy Spirit, by Adam Hamilton. Purchase yours through your favorite local or online bookseller and join us. Due to the change in office hours starting in September, the sessions will now be on Thursday evening / Friday morning.
The next Cooperative Parish meeting is scheduled for Saturday, September 12th from 3-5 p.m. at NKUMC Library.
Sierra Leone Boutique - The Boutique (Shelves in the narthex) will be closing September 15th – note this is a new closing date! If you are interested in purchasing any of these items, please do so by September 15. Thank you to all that have supported this part of our connection with the Nar Sarah clinic and the people of Kabala, Sierra Leone. Our church will continue to support them through our donations to the Maternity hospital and the NKUMC Women’s regular preparation of the birthing kits.
Calling all pets! We are collaborating with St. Paul’s to host a Blessing of the Animals service on Saturday, September 19th at 5:15 p.m. on the Greenway in Wickford Village. All donations will support the North Kingstown Animal Shelter.
Our 4-church Cooperative Parish is collaborating on a Habitat for Humanity build in South Kingstown this Fall. The first date for volunteering will be Saturday, October 3rd from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Sign up in the narthex if you are interested. There are a limited number of spots available for each date.
A Grief Support Group has formed in North Kingstown and is meeting in the Church Library on Wednesdays at 4:30. There is no cost to participate in the group. Contact Paul Hodosh to register at paulhodosh@gmail.com.
Please contribute regularly to our four ongoing collections in the narthex – food for the North Kingstown Food Pantry, supplies for the North Kingstown Animal Shelter, plastic films and bags for our recycling project, and clothing and small appliances for the Open Closet program at Open Table of Christ UMC in Providence.
The current needs for our clothing donation program are: linens, towels, men’s clothing and shoes.

Here's an easy way to financially support the ministry work of our church, and just in time for holiday shopping. UMC Market is a shopping portal created by the United Methodist Church in partnership with select online merchants. All you do is sign up, shop at your favorite participating web store, and the merchant makes a donation to our church! This is all at absolutely no cost to you - no hidden fees, no annual membership, no increased costs. Learn more by clicking here.
