This edition was offered during E.O. Wilson’s book tour for Diversity of Life back in 1992. It was available at lecture events for purchase and, time permitting, Wilson signed copies after his lecture. A nice addition to any collection.

He was one of the twenty founding members of the British Ornithologists' Union. He closely studied the fauna and flora of Central America and had several plants name after him,he corresponded with other scientists of his time including Charles Darwin
