Scope and objectives

The WONV is back! For this new edition, organised by the Centre for Decision Research (Leeds University Business School) and in partnership with the Choice Modelling Centre (Institute for Transport Studies, University of Leeds), we aim to broaden the horizon of the field by also inviting researchers in Judgment and Decision Making to submit their research. The objective is to promote cross-disciplinary applications and create new, innovative ways of performing valuation in environment, transportation and health.

Venue and conference dinner 

The  conference  will take place in the Newlyn  Building,  at the University of  Leeds

The conference dinner will take place on June 13th at Eat Your Greens, 42 New York St, Leeds LS2 7DY.

Special Issue

A special issue will be organised with the Central European Economic Journal (https://ceej.wne.uw.edu.pl/). The deadline for submitting papers is July 15th 2024. WONV participants will have the opportunity to indicate whethere they wish to submit their paper to the special issue. Papers can still be edited by authors after the WONV and before the deadline above.

Best paper award

Participants are encouraged to apply for the best paper award. The winner will be invited to present their paper at a WONV partner institution. 

Rule to be eligible for the best paper award: the thesis must have been defended no more than 5 years before the workshop. The committe is typically composed of the keynote speakers and organizing committee.
