Monthly Lunches, with Guest Speaker
, are normally held on the last Wednesday of each month in the Officers' Mess, 15th Field Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery, at the Bessborough Armoury, 2025 West 11th Avenue, Vancouver (between Arbutus and Maple).  Lunch tickets @ $20.00 for a four course meal are available at the bar.  Times for these events are:
    1130 - Bar Opens
    1200 - Lunch
    1300 - Guest Speaker

Dress: Jacket and Tie (please advise any guests you may invite)

The 2019 RUSI Vancouver Speaker Series

The popular RUSI Speaker Series resumes on Wednesday, February 13 in the 15Fd Officer’s Mess at the Bessborough Armoury from 5:00 to 7:00 pm with Bob Mackay describing ‘The Charge of Flowerdew’s Squadron: 100 Years Later’.

In his presentation Bob will tell the story of the famous Battle of Moreuil Wood by Lord Strathcona’s Horse, led by Lt. Gordon Flowerdew, VC, in March 1918. Bob Mackay is the author of ‘Soldier of the Horse’ a fictional account of the last war time cavalry charge in which his father took part.

The RUSI Speaker Series continues Wednesday March 13 with special guest Dr. James Boutilier, Foreign Policy Advisor to MARPAC Command. Dr. Boutilier will provide his insight on the current and future relationship between China and Canada in a presentation titled ‘Predatory, Promising or, Problematic’.

On April 10 the series will conclude with an in-depth presentation on Canada’s role in the Strategic Bomber Command of WW 2 by retired RCAF Colonel Keith Maxwell, OMM, CD.
