Comparison of a current overhead map from Google Maps of the proposed site (North Seattle Friends Church parcel) of U. Prep expansion with prior document/layout plans shows the PARSONAGE building (seen in lower left hand corner, underneath the City stamp at 7736 24th AVE) is still largely intact and being used in modified form, currently as the site for the Nest Seattle building (see attached image).
Further, according to the 2014 Interpretation 13-010, Finding of Fact #2 states, "Permission was granted to establish a daycare facility within the existing church building, remove portions of the existing parsonage and establish the use as an accessory office...", indicating that only a portion of the parsonage (not the whole parsonage) was removed, so that the remainder is still clearly present (see right image, Google maps)
By definition, a "parsonage" is a, "house provided by a church for its pastor" (Merriam Webster online dictionary)
SMC Code 23.44.022.F indicates that regarding, " Demolition of Residential Structures: No residential structure shall be demolished ..."
In this regard, given these facts, the application by U. Prep. for Conditional Administrative approval should be denied as the proposed structure by U.Prep would necessarily require the demolition of this parsonage, which is a clear residential structure, as defined by any standard dictionary. This was erroneously disregarded in the prior 2014 Interpretation, 13-010.
