Season Outlook
Coaches: Perkins take over at he helm of the girls team and will look to defend the league title. This years squad has a nice mix of veterns and newbies. Returning from last years league championship team include gold medal winners Reese D'Ambrosio (100m, 200m), Hannah Belthoff (HJ), and Gabby Alty (Discus, Shot) - Silver medalist Yoelis Mendez (PV) and Sahasra Shyam (Disc, Shot) and Bronze medalist Emily Vamvakaris (400m) and Nicole Morales (3200m). This core group is joined by twenty-two new members. The team should improve as the season progresses and WILL be in the mix for another title! The distance squad is much improved and with the development of some jumpers and hurdlers they could score in every event come championship season!
Coaches: Bliss looks for his fifth league title. Why stop there - this arguably could be one of his best all around teams so they should turn heads at the county and state level also. Leading a well rounded and deep group which boasts twelve league medalist from last year (20 medals total) are the Johnson brothers Jake (Shot, Disc, Jav, 100m) and Luke (400IH, 400m). The throwers (Jeremy Friedberg, Jake Johnson, Matt Checko, Andres Aguayo, Matt Villagomez) are solid and should score major points but it doesn't stop there. Ivan Bempah (indoor 55m record holder), Luke Johnson (400IH champ), Mateo Suric (200), Mike Dottino (400) and Luke Senzamici (400) will hold their own in the sprints while Julien Gutierrez (800m county champ), Jonah Chacko (1600m, 3200m) and Evan Kozlowski (800m-3200m) lead a talented group of distance runner who can hold their own against the counties best.Â
Best of Luck to the 2026 team!!
