Jane Lambert

Jane Lambert is a barrister of Lincoln's Inn and of the Northern Circuit. She practises at the intellectual property bar and specializes in advice and representation for start-ups and other small businesses. She has practised at the Bar since 1978 and has appeared in many reported cases a few of which are listed on her website. Jane Lambert has written or contributed to many books and articles on intellectual property and technology law including Enforcing Intellectual Property Rights, which was published by Gower in February 2009. She has given many presentations on the subject some of which are listed here. Jane Lambert is also a domain name dispute resolution panellist for the WIPO and her decisions are listed here.

She received her mediation training from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in 2000 and was accredited as a mediator in 2002. She specializes in resolving intellectual property and technology disputes such as the following:

    • Computer Supply Disputes: whether the equipment or services delivered comply with the contract or specification, whether fees or charges are justified, whether a triggering event to release documents held in escrow has occurred;

  • Trade Marks: oppositions, revocations and invalidity proceedings in both the Trade Marks Registry and OHIM;

  • Registered Designs: invalidity proceedings in the Designs Registry and OHIM;

  • Licensing Disputes: terms of licences including licences of right for design rights and disputes between licensors and licensees;

  • Infringement Disputes: patent, trade mark, registered design, design right, copyright, database right, rights in performances, breach of confidence, passing off and other intellectual property actions; and

  • Domain Name Disputes: generic and country code.

Her fees of £1,000 for a full day, £500 per half day and £250 per hour plus VAT are in addition to the fees charged by the Company.
