Phd positions in the real-time health agent of anytime, anywhere patient care diagnosis and treatment.
The position will be in the area of human-computer interaction in pervasive computing environments. The candidate will explore the most appropriate and effective methods and prototypes to provide patients in remote areas to learn and manage their heart diseases based on physiological signs (i.e., blood pressure, heart rate from wearable sensors/implantable devices) and experienced symptoms (chat dialogs, Facebook, twitters, forums). This work will be carried out in collaboration with physicians and patients at hospitals in Malaysia with a focus on cardiovascular and diabetes patients.
Candidate Profile
-a Masters in Computer Science or Information Technology, or an equivalent degree (obtained before the start of their doctoral work)
-a good level of spoken and written English
-interest in working on interdisciplinary projects
