Scenarkivet

Scenarkivet is an unique public database that presents more than twenty years of swedish dance history, as well as other independent art during those years.

Scenarkivet is a collaboration between Atalante in Göteborg, Moderna Dansteatern i Stockholm and Dansstationen in Malmö. On the site, in the archive, you can read about almost 1900 performances, look at some 500 films or look at an archive of more than 5300 persons, artists.

This project was made possible in 2006 with employment money from the Swedish goverment under the so called Acces-project. It was ended in 2009 and we are now looking for ways to develop it further.

In 2010 we could present the result of a collaboration with Dansens Hus in Köpenhamn. They have bought the right to use our data-base solution. Together with programmer Hannes Rydén the database and the public presentation has been completely rebuilt and renewed. This new version will also be on the swedish site soon.

Niklas Rydén has been the project leader for Scenarkivet since 2006.
