Home
My name is Nicolas Loeuille and I am currently working at Sorbonne Université, as a professor. I am a member of the team "Ecology and Evolution of Interaction Networks", in the International Institute of Ecology and Environmental Sciences (Paris).
I am generally interested in the interplay of species evolution and the structure and functioning of ecosystems. More particularly, I work on plant-herbivore, plant-pollinator and predator-prey coevolution and I try to understand consequences of eco-evolutionary dynamics for the organization and functioning of ecological networks. I am also interested in the evolution of niche construction.
I also try to incorporate spatial aspects in my theoretical models, to get a grasp on how spatial structure and evolution interact and shape communities. Applied aspects of eco-evolutionary dynamics in the context of global changes or of species management (harvesting or agriculture) are an important motivation for my research.
