Officiating Since 1940
For over 80 years, the Niagara Frontier Officials Association (NFOA) has been a cornerstone of sports officiating in Western New York. Our organization, made up of over 200 dedicated men and women, serves as independent contractors united by a common passion—ensuring fair, competitive, and well-officiated games.
We proudly provide officiating services for basketball, off-ice hockey, softball, and football, upholding the integrity of the games we love.
Originally founded in 1940 in the Town of Tonawanda as the Ken-Ton Officials Association, our roots began in baseball officiating. As our mission expanded, we rebranded to our current name in 1969 and officially incorporated under New York State law in 1982.
Today, the NFOA continues to set the standard for excellence in officiating, training, and professionalism across multiple sports. Whether you're an aspiring official, a seasoned veteran, or an organization in need of top-tier officiating services, we invite you to learn more about how we support athletes, coaches, and the broader sports community.
