Dear Fellow Members:

On August 5th, the director of off-ice-hockey resigned. Shortly thereafter, perspective candidates submitted their names for the interview process.  Encouraging to say, we had five worthy candidates who applied and interviewed for the position.

After careful thought and conducting thorough interviews, it was a board-decision to appoint David Hayman, as director of the off-ice-hockey program.  I sincerely hope, that all off-ice-hockey staff members will support Dave in our upcoming season.

Congratulations to Dave in all of his future endeavors.

Rich Pino, President-NFOA

On Sunday, August 16th, NFOA will be celebrating 75 years as an officials association. The party will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the NOCO Pavilion located at 450 Ensminger Road in Tonawanda.  It's between Two Mile Creek and East Park Road, on the backside of Sheridan Park.  The menu will consist of pizza, chicken wings, anniversary cake, beer, pop and water. The cost will be $20 per person. You are welcome to bring a spouse or other guest for the same cost. Since alcohol will be served, guests are limited to adults only. Upon paying at the door, you will receive two tickets for the beer.  Anyone desiring additional beer will be charged a nominal fee.  All other drinks will not require a ticket just like at the fall banquet.

We will have games such as a horseshoe tournament, Kan-Jam, and Corn Hole (bean bag toss).  We would like to have at least two Kan Jam & Corn Hole games, so if you have one, let me know in your RSVP response via my email or telephone.  Please RSVP (by email to alnicks24@yahoo.com or by phone message to 837-1872) no later than Monday, August 10th, so I can get an accurate count for our food & drink order.  Besides the games, for those card players, feel free  to bring a deck!

Again, this is a milestone event so please make every effort to attend.NFOA 75th Anniversary Celebration
