This lovely mermaid doll was created by NIADA Artist Janice Riggs in 1978. I purchased her on  the secondary market in 1989. She is 6 inches tall, made of porcelain, and is one of a kind.  She  has hand painted face, inset eyes, and long blond hair, topped with a tiara. Her mermaid outfit is made of silver lurex.  She holds a shell in her right hand. The doll is in escellent condition. 

This lovely doll was created by NIADA Artist  Maggie Ioacono in 1990, which she named 'Gretta'. She is made entirely of felt, with hand painted features.  She stands 17 inches tall and  is numbered 11 of 250.   The doll is in excellent condition.  She is dressed in a brown floral skirt, with white blouse and brown vest.  She wears a bone coloured kerchief on her hair, which is blond with pigtails.  She has white socks and black shoes.   A lovely example of Maggie's early work.
