What does it mean to belong to campus? How do students find a sense of belongingness when they first start college? Throughout college? What is the role of academic and social programs in belongingness? Why do some students feel they fit in and others don't? And what is the role of ethnicity and culture in these processes?
The purpose of this line of research is to learn how students decide to "stick" with their current college and how you've had success or challenges getting different parts of your identity (academic, ethnic, and social) to "stick" together during college.
