UWM Cultures & Contexts Research Group
Led by Dr. Jacqueline Nguyen, the Cultures & Contexts Research Group is devoted to learning about how processes and relationships in human development are impacted by various cultural and contextual factors--including immigration, peers, parents, schools, and even the Internet--and the linkages between these factors.
Our populations of focus are typically immigrant, refugee, and ethnic minority adolescents and emerging adults who are an increasing numerical population and whose developmental experiences merit inclusion mainstream narratives of developmental psychology.
Please visit our current projects to see how we are examining cultures and contexts in different ways!
