If a journey begins with the first step, then let's take it.
The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) will profoundly change the way teachers teach and students learn. This learning module is designed to help you understand how. Consider it a step by step introduction to the NGSS. If you have had some exposure to the NGSS, or none at all, you are in the right place.
The format is rather simple. I will introduce an idea to you, give you some resources to explore, and then offer some questions to ponder. If you are working by yourself it might be some personal reflection. If you are working with a group, the questions are meant to guide your discussion. At times I will ask you to submit ideas and review the ideas submitted by others.
The most important part of this process is giving yourself time to think, time to reflect, time to discuss, and time to ponder.
