Aerial Pesticide Application Training - September 24-26, 2024 Gettysburg, PA

The National Lymantria Management Board’s Aerial Application Safety Committee invites you to attend the 2024 Aerial Pesticide Application Training to be held in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania September 24-26, 2024. 

TRAINING DATES & LOCATION:

The training will span three full days, Tuesday, September 24th through Thursday, September 26th. There will be three-morning classroom sessions followed by three field training sessions. Travel days will be Monday, September 23rd and Friday, September 27th. Please plan to attend ALL three training days. Training will be held 8 AM-5 PM. Early departures are discouraged.

•  The morning classroom sessions will be held at the Wyndham Gettysburg Hotel Conference Room, 90 Presidential Cir. Gettysburg, PA

• The afternoon field sessions will be held at Helicopter Applicators, Inc.,1670 York Rd #717, Gettysburg, PA  

These sites are one (1) mile apart. There will be organized rideshares between sites, so vehicle rental is not necessary.

 REGISTRATION:

There is no registration fee, however registration is required.

Due to this training being in high demand, space is limited. Unfortunately, we can only accept registration from two staff from each respective state agency, or federal office until September 1. Registration is capped at 50 attendees. If we do not fill spots there will be a registration waiting list. We hope that all who want to attend will be able. Early registration is encouraged to secure your spot. We ask that each agency respectfully identify participant priorities.

 Initial Registration Due Date is September 1, 2024. Please register even if you are waiting for agency travel approval. Simply note this in the comments field on the registration.

 Open Registration will follow. Those on the waiting list will be contacted first. 

 *** The Aerial Application Safety Committee recognizes the need and demand for these types of trainings and plans to work towards more frequent training events in the future. 

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS:

Unlike the 2023 training, a hotel room block has been secured.  We encourage all participants to stay within the designated hotel to ensure we meet the contracted room nights. This also allows us to offer this training free of charge. All three-morning training events will be hosted at the hotel.
