As of the beginning of 2024, monthly meetings will move from the first Monday of the month to the second Thursday of the month.
March 14, 2024 SOIL TEST RESULTS
7:00 p.m., Shenango on the Green, 238 S. Market St., New Wilmington
Soil sample results from our community gardens that were sent to Penn State for analysis will be discussed. Ways of amending the soils for better flower production will also be discussed, and decided upon for implementation during spring plantings.

Emma will discuss the life cycle of a greenhouse season: An overview of the growing timeline and how they gear up for the new season.

Kinorea will discuss the biology of the lantern fly and identifying characteristics.

Dennis will talk to us about plants to attract hummingbirds, and we will, of course, be able to shop for plants.
July 11, 2024 GARDEN TOUR - SELF-GUIDED TOUR OF HOYT GARDENS AND GROUNDS

2:00 p.m. (or earlier if a house tour is desired)
Following the grounds tour, if there is sufficient interest, we can tour the Hoyt period home.

Stacey Cline & Kimberly Dreuger will demonstrate wick beds, irrigated raised beds, keeping chickens, and composting.
September 12, 2024 SALAD SUPPER & SILENT AUCTION
6:00 p.m. Apple Castle Pavillion
This is a fundraiser for our club! Bring a salad for 6-8 to share. Also please bring an unwrapped item for the silent auction. Can be old, new, crafted, baked, etc. All proceeds to the treasury.
October 10, 2024 HOW TO MAKE A HYDRANGEA WREATH - Cyndi Burke
6:00 p.m., 893 Orchard Road, Mercer, PA
Cyndi will demonstrate how to make a hydrangea wreath. There will be a $15 fee for supplies. Cyndi will host and also serve dinner to the members.

An open discussion and question session about anything garden related.
December 12, 2024 HOLIDAY CELEBRATION
