Meeting Location:

The junction of “Ymittou” and “Sarantaporou” streets in Voula (behind the 3rd Primary School), opposite “Alsous” (Ag. Nektarios) Square. (Map)

The hike will not begin from that location, but from a higher one on the mountain.

Short Description:

EDNY is organizing its first activity for 2020, a year that begun with actions, and it will be a hike with a view on Sunday 09 February. A hike that will approach one of the many locations of the mountain that offers uninhibited views towards the Saronic Gulf as well as towards the South Evian Sea. Towards the capital as well as towards the valley of Mesogeia. The aim is the col between the summits of “Dasomeni Koryfi” and “Stavraetos” and the route offers an escape in nature, next to Athens.

Join us and discover the green side of South Hymettus Mtn along with the EDNY volunteers, give yourselves a healthy break and enjoy lots of green and blue views.

Cost: Free. Please leave a contribution towards EDNY.

Need to bring:

- Comfortable, sturdy shoes (hiking boots recommended).

- Water/snack for personal use.

- Sweatshirt/windbreaker/raincoat.

Walking duration: Approx. 3 hours (10,5 klms)

Total event duration: Approx. 5 hours

Activity difficulty: 3/5. Takes place on gravel road and forest path.
