NeuroMap is an interactive software for spatiotemporal mapping of MEA or any spatially scattered data. It is available freely as either an open-source Matlab package under the GNU GPL license, or as a standalone C++/Qt-based compiled program (only for windows yet) under a specific license
Main features of NeuroMap include :
Handling data from any MEA design or recording sites layout, including 2D or 3D, regular or irregular.
Thin plate spline interpolation to estimate data values between recording sites (hence local extrema not constrained at recording sites).
Estimation of the spatial Laplacian for better current source localization.
Coregistration of 2D data on the anatomy of the neural tissue for spatial, physiologically meaningful, analysis.
Statistical thresholding of activity maps
We encourage the use of the C++ standalone version, which further includes:
Much faster display
Visualization of data as spatiotemporal (elec vs. time) images
More flexible visualization of temporal (curves) data
