Saturday offerings for students include plenary session(s), a graduate school panel, a rocket-making workshop, and a poster session for student research presentations with a "lightning talk” competition.
Participants will have the opportunity to earn CEU credits. Please consider contributing a workshop, an oral presentation, or a short share-a-thon presentation, or a poster (students):
Workshops can be 30, 60, or 90 minutes long. A survey of NCS-AAPT members suggests there is greatest interest in the following topics: introductory level activities, astrophotography, and artificial intelligence in teaching physics. Other workshop topics are welcomed as well.
Contributed talks will be 12 minutes long followed by 3 minutes for questions. All topics in physics education are welcomed.
The share-a-thon session will contain 3-minute mini-presentations followed by 2 minutes for questions. Presentations might be a favorite demo, simulation, class activity, physics brain teaser, or something similar.
Students are invited to present a poster on their work or outreach activities. Student presentations must be sponsored by a participating instructor.
Please submit your talk abstract by March 13 using the form below. Poster and Share-a-thon abstracts can be submitted up to March 21.
