TEMPLE PROGRAMMES

Temple Programmes : The temple programmes can be broadly classified into three categories. The details are as follows:

1. Exclusive / special programmes customized to the requirement of devotees – these include kalyanotsavam, Sudarshana Homam, Navagraha Homam, Ayushya Homam, Satyanaraya Pooja, etc. These can be performed as and when the devotees require. Those interested may contact the chief priest and fix the time and date. The charges vary depending on the programmes and services needed.

2. Standard programmes performed in the temple. These programmes have been charted out by the committee with the chief priest, the details are as follows.

a) General Pooja & Prasadam - Rs 150 /- per deity per day

b) General Pooja & Prasadam - Rs 200 /- per day ( for all 3 deities )

c) Abhishekam followed by decoration with simple flowers – Rs 200/- per deity

d) Utsava Seva (includes Abhishekam, flower decoration, Volga music and utsavam of the deity around the temple ) Rs 6000 / - ( includes prasadam also)

e) Kalyanotsavam seva ( includes Abhisheka, flower alakaram,

prasadam ) – Rs 7500/-

f) Sudarshana Homam - Rs 20,000/-

3 ) Programmes performed through out the year :

a) Shaswatha Nitya Pooja - every day simple pooja to all the deities.

b) Shaswatha Prasada Viniyoga – Every day simple prasadam is prepared / distributed for 25 devotees.

c) Shaswatha Annual Utsavams for Lord Krishna ( 3 days in an year ), sponsored by associations /

Temple Trust

1. Rathasaptami day

2. Vaikunta Ekadasi day

3. Sri Rama Navami day

d) Shaswatha Kalyanotsavam – every year on ‘Andal Jayanthi’ or Thiruvadipuram, kalyanotsavam will be organized by the committee.

e) Shaswatha Sudarshana Homam – Every year on Sudarshana Chakratalwar Jayanthi, Sudarshana Homam will be performed on a grand scale and will be arranged by the committee. This is usually during May - June, months.

f) Godarshanam - This event has been started recently, in January 2012, and will be celebrated every year

hence forth ,on the KANUMA festival ( next day of Makara Sankranti ).
